Privacy Policy
Last updated October 13, 2026
GlowScroll (“the app”) is made by THE LIX GROUP LLC. It’s built so there’s very little to say in a privacy policy: we don’t run servers for the app, there’s no account system, and we don’t collect what you write. This page explains what that means. It also covers the basic analytics on this website.
What GlowScroll stores, and where
GlowScroll stores the signs you show and save, and your settings, in a database on your device. We have no server that receives, processes or stores this information, and no way to access it.
Optional cloud backup
With Premium, you can turn on automatic backup. GlowScroll then saves a copy of your saved signs and folders, and a list of the ones you deleted (so your other phones delete them too), to a private, app-only folder in your own iCloud (iPhone) or Google Drive (Android) account. You control that storage, and Apple’s or Google’s privacy terms govern it. The copy never goes to a server of ours; we don’t have one. The backup isn’t separately encrypted by GlowScroll, because it only holds the sign text and styles you created.
On Android, Google asks you to sign in and allow access. GlowScroll requests only the
drive.appdata permission, which covers its own hidden app folder and not
your other Drive files. The sign-in token is stored in your phone’s secure storage.
You can also export your saved signs to a file and save or send it wherever you choose. That file goes only where you send it.
GlowScroll opts out of Android’s automatic device backup. On iPhone, your phone’s own iCloud or computer backup includes GlowScroll’s data, as it does for most apps, under Apple’s terms.
Accounts and identity
GlowScroll doesn’t ask for your name, email address or any other identifying information. There’s no login and no account system.
Permissions
GlowScroll doesn’t ask for any permissions to show a sign. It raises your screen’s brightness and keeps the screen on only while a sign is showing, which needs no permission. It never asks for your location, contacts, microphone or camera.
Purchases
You buy Premium through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, and Apple or Google processes the purchase under its own privacy policy. We use RevenueCat to validate your purchase; RevenueCat receives your purchase receipt and an anonymous app identifier to do this, under its own privacy policy. GlowScroll only learns whether you’ve unlocked Premium, never your name or payment details.
Analytics and advertising
The GlowScroll app doesn’t include third-party analytics or advertising tools, and it doesn’t track how you use it. Nothing in the app is sent to Google Analytics.
This website works differently. It uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), loaded through Google Tag Manager, for basic traffic measurement: which pages get visited, roughly where visitors are, what device and browser they use, and how they found the site. Google may set cookies to do this. We don’t use the data to identify you, and we don’t run ads on the site. Google’s handling of the data falls under Google’s Privacy Policy, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Deleting your data
You can delete saved signs one at a time. Recent signs (the ones you showed without saving) and everything else are deleted with Settings → Erase all banners. Deleting the app also deletes everything on the device. A cloud backup, if you turned it on, stays in your iCloud or Google Drive until you delete it there. See Delete your GlowScroll data for details.
Children’s privacy
GlowScroll isn’t directed at children. The app collects no information from anyone, of any age.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, for example because a new feature changes how data is handled, we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date above.
